Colorful Fall Engagement Photos Overlooking Lake Sunapee, NH
Laura and Fabrice chose one of the most beautiful times of year for their engagement photos overlooking Lake Sunapee, NH. It was peak fall bluebird day in Sunapee, the leaves were glowing, and the air had that crisp New Hampshire feeling that makes you want to breathe just a little deeper. I knew this session would be something special. With their personalities immediately showing how creative, warm, quick to laugh, they brought such an easy-going and fun energy into every moment.
We met at a quiet trail that winds through the woods before opening up to a stunning overlook of Lake Sunapee. The mellow ten minute walk to the overlook was lined with gold and amber foliage that felt like a real life fall postcard. As soon as we stepped onto the trail, we knew we had hit the peak color window perfectly.
The Walk to the Lake Sunapee Overlook
The short walk toward the view gave us time to ease into the session and settle into the rhythm of photographing together. Laura and Fabrice slipped into their natural connection almost instantly. They joked, teased each other, and kept falling into soft, genuine moments that photographed beautifully. The sunlight filtered through the leaves in the warmest way, giving everything a golden glow.
Their personalities made the whole trail come alive. They have a blend of humor and tenderness that creates effortless, natural images. Photographing them feels like documenting two best friends who absolutely adore one another.

Lake Sunapee Views and Golden Light
When we reached the overlook, the reward was immediate. Lake Sunapee stretched out below us, framed by mountain layers and vibrant foliage hugging the shoreline. It looked like a painting. The overlook gave us space to create images that felt adventurous and romantic without needing a strenuous hike.
Laura and Fabrice moved through the landscape easily, wrapping into each other against the breeze, laughing through inside jokes, and taking in the view. Their chemistry is so natural and expressive. Just as we finished, the light shifted into the softest glow, giving us a beautiful golden end to the session.

A Fun Ending With Ghost Photos
As the sky darkened and the session started to wind down, Laura and Fabrice had one more idea. With Halloween just around the corner, they pulled out two white sheets to end the session with funny ghost photos. Absolutely yes.
They slipped the sheets over their heads and immediately burst into laughter. The woods had settled into blue hour, giving the scene this dramatic, playful vibe. The ghost photos were ridiculous in the best possible way. Romantic fall engagement session meets quirky, creative humor. It fit them perfectly.
