A Heartfelt Family Micro-Wedding in Campton, New Hampshire

Some wedding days are grand and sweeping. Others are quiet, intentional, and filled with the kind of meaning that settles deep in your chest and stays there. Macy and Marcus’s June micro wedding in New Hampshire was exactly that.

When I asked them in their questionnaire what mattered most to them for their elopement experience, their answer made my heart sing:

“Good company, good food, and good pictures. Simple as that! We just want to celebrate our love with the people we care most about, share a delicious meal together, and capture our special day so we can relive it for years to come.”

And that’s exactly what they did.

An Intimate Day at a Campton, NH AirBnB

Macy and Marcus are Campton locals, and choosing to celebrate their wedding day at a beautiful Airbnb close to home felt like the most natural extension of who they are. They planned an intimate elopement-style day with just their immediate family and closest friends, saving a larger celebration with extended family and friends for later in the season.

Their wedding morning began slowly with details, getting ready, and lots of anticipation as steady rain fell outside. Spring and early summer had been particularly rainy (we’re talking 13 Saturdays of rain IN A ROW kind of rainy) and while the forecast felt uncertain, the mood inside the house was calm, joyful, and grounded.

Just as we were preparing for their first look, the rain began to let up. The clouds started to lift, and little by little, the surrounding mountains began to peek through, as if right on cue.

A Quiet First Look at their NH Airbnb

Macy and Marcus shared their first look right on the Airbnb property, tucked away in the quiet of the clearing. The moment felt grounded and genuine. No rush, no audience – just the two of them taking it all in.

After a morning shaped by weather and anticipation, everything seemed to slow down. The air softened, the mountains revealed themselves, and the reality of the day finally settled in. It was simple, emotional, and deeply present. The kind of moment that reminds you why intimate celebrations hold so much power.

Exchanging Private Vows on the Porch

After their first look, Macy and Marcus moved to the covered porch to exchange private vows. Sheltered from the lingering mist, they stood together and shared words meant only for each other — heartfelt, intentional, and deeply personal.

This quiet pause in the day felt especially meaningful. Before guests arrived and before the ceremony unfolded, they gave themselves space to speak honestly, laugh, cry, and connect without distraction. Even within a family-centered micro wedding in New Hampshire, this moment belonged entirely to them.

A Micro Wedding Ceremony Surrounded by Family

Once they were ready, Macy and Marcus joined their guests and together everyone walked across the road into a wide open field nearby. Family and friends gathered in a close circle around them as Macy’s dad officiated the ceremony.

Several loved ones shared readings, adding layers of meaning, memory, and connection. The ceremony felt deeply personal – rooted in family, intention, and the relationships that shaped who they are.

Celebration, Food, and Togetherness

After the ceremony, we took family and group photos before capturing more portraits of just the two of them as the soft mountain light continued to shift around us. Then everyone headed back to the Airbnb, where drinks and appetizers were waiting and Marcus’s dad fired up the grill for steaks.

As everyone sat down for dinner, family members shared heartfelt toasts and speeches before enjoying an absolutely delicious meal together. The rest of the evening unfolded naturally — lawn games, music, laughter, and the kind of easy togetherness that can’t be forced or scheduled.

Before the sun dipped too low, we snuck away one last time for a few more photos of just the two of them. Soon after, Macy and Marcus changed into cozy clothes, hugged everyone goodbye, and settled in for the night surrounded by the people who matter most.

A Micro Wedding Day in New Hampshire Rooted in Meaning

Macy and Marcus’s micro wedding in New Hampshire was a beautiful reminder that a wedding day doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful. It just has to be intentional.

From the quiet moments on the porch to the laughter around the dinner table, their day was filled with love, gratitude, and genuine connection. Even the weather seemed to soften for them — clouds lifting just in time, mountains revealing themselves slowly, perfectly.

It was an honor to witness and document such a thoughtful, intimate celebration, and to spend the day with a group of people who were truly kind, gracious, and full of love.

A perfect day, all around.
