Abby and Caleb’s wedding at LaBelle Winery was elegant, heartfelt, and full of unforgettable moments. Their day included getting ready at the Bedford Village Inn, a tender first look at the pond, a vineyard ceremony that cleared up perfectly after a sudden rainstorm, glowing sunset portraits among the vines, and an epic party. I first met these two during an adventure session in Breckenridge, CO while I was living out west. We instantly clicked and discovered we shared New England roots. When they asked me to travel back to New Hampshire for their wedding, I was incredibly honored. Now that I am back to living in New Hampshire again, I am even more excited to photograph more weddings at LaBelle Winery and continue capturing love stories in this beautiful state!
Getting Ready at Bedford Village Inn and Labelle
The moment I walked into the Bedford Village Inn, I knew this day was going to be something special. Abby was already glowing and the room buzzed with that unmistakable wedding-morning mix of excitement and nerves. I started with photographing details while the laughter and chatter grew all around us. Working alongside their videographer Dan from Roll Films LLC made the morning even more smooth and fun.
All week, the forecast went back and forth, teasing thunderstorms. Abby and Caleb dreamed of saying their vows in the vineyard. And although LaBelle’s backup space is beautiful, everyone was rooting for that outdoor moment!
On the drive from Bedford to LaBelle, the storm came on hard. Rain poured down, thunder boomed, lighting struck over and over – it was quickly looking like we might be switching to Plan B. But then something magical happened. The moment we pulled into LaBelle’s driveway, and I mean the literal moment, the rain stopped completely. The vines shimmered. The air felt fresh. Suddenly, their outdoor ceremony was back on the table. It genuinely felt like the sky took a breath and said, “Alright team. Let’s do this!”
First Look at the LaBelle Pond
Abby and Caleb chose the pond for their first look. Caleb stood waiting with that heartfelt, slightly nervous anticipation that I just get so giddy over when it comes to first looks. The second he turned around and saw Abby, everything settled. His reaction was emotional and full of love, and it instantly became one of those moments that remind you why photographing weddings is so meaningful.
They spent a few quiet minutes together before the day picked up speed again. The post-storm light was soft and dreamy, giving us perfect conditions for portraits around the pond before diving into wedding party and immediate family photos.
A Romantic Labelle Winery Vineyard Ceremony
Their ceremony was everything they had imagined. The Vineyard Surround looked incredible after the rain and the sun even came out! Guests settled in as the summer heat moved through the vines. Abby and Caleb exchanged vows filled with emotion, and the reactions from their families and friends said everything.
When they walked back up the aisle, they celebrated with a champagne toast – a genuine moment of pure joy! I always encourage couples to find pockets of the day for themselves to soak it all in so I love that they took a quick stroll through the vineyard with their champagne before gearing up for family photos. Not to mention it created the perfect moment for those happy candid moments that I love to capture as they unfold!
Reception in the Vineyard Ballroom of Labelle Winery Wedding
When it was time to head inside, they made their grand enterance the Vineyard Ballroom as Caleb literally swept Abby off of her feet! The entire room erupted in cheers. Their first dance was romantic and connected, and the speeches that followed were the perfect mix of heartfelt and hilarious. Their parents shared stories that made everyone laugh and tear up in equal measure.
After a delicious dinner, we snuck outside as the sun started dipping behind the vines for golden hour portraits. That warm, gorgeous light wrapped around Abby and Caleb beautifully, and those images became some of my absolute favorites from the day.
Party Time!
Once the formalities wrapped up, the party officially kicked off. The dance floor filled immediately and the energy was unreal. Guests of all ages were out there dancing their hearts out, and Abby and Caleb were right in the center of it all.
The room felt electric. Between the lights, the music, and the joy radiating from every corner, the evening had that irresistible “never want this to end” feeling. It was the perfect ending to a day that already felt magical.
